The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following aschemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in a treatment of neurodegenerative
diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia.
