I was going through my files cleaning deleting lot of stuff when I came accross the definitions of "State" and the "United States".
I find some of these statutes were either removed or relocated. But I also remember years ago when I was compiling all of this, I remember thinking, Congress didn't
suffer from having brain cramps, nor, suffering from dementia when it came to defining the United States in unambiguous language in comparison to what you see and Title 26.

5 USC § 7103 Definitions.
(a) For the purpose of this chapter—(18) “United States” means the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and any territory or possession of the United
